"For the last 14 years our site has been using QTRCO stainless steel actuators on approximately 32 valves of varying sizes up to 6” in a critical process which involves very high cycling operation. Each of the valves cycle on/off approximately 2 million times per year. Our preventative maintenance program stipulates we rebuild the valves and actuators every three years whether they need it or not. It has been our experience the QTRCO actuators have held up extremely well in this demanding application and will wear better and outlast the valves, solenoids & switches, and other assembly components.
Prior to introduction of QTRCO, Kevlar used different brands of rack & pinion pneumatic actuators all which of required extensive maintenance and frequent replacement to keep the washers on line. Based on QTRCO’s demonstrated reliability and corrosion resistance in the application, Kevlar made QTRCO the preferred actuator standard for balance of the plant 12 years ago."
